Ive read many a thread about this cap, yet when i put in my year and model, it tells me none are available, but there are threads that the earlier locking gas cap up to 2014 will fit the new 2015+16 fillers. So will the earlier cap/plug fit our trucks??
From what i understand, the locking plug works on 09-14 F150's, but apparently it will work withe the 15+ trucks according to the posts on the internet, i dont know?
Everything I have read it will not fit because of the neck. I'm sure someone will try to bring one out.
From what I understand siphoning is not an issue due to baffles but if you're worried about someone putting something in it that shouldn't be then you're just stuck waiting.

Yes, thats pretty much my concern, all of my vehicles have or had locks on the fuel fillers, theres alot of people with bad intentions out there. I had a look at the rockauto site and saw that they had locking gas caps for 2016 f150, there is noway that cap would or could ever work, rockauto usually is very good with there product fitment correctness, i think there off on this part. Keep looking i guess.
my 2010 had the capless filler. I had to use the little included funnel to even add a fuel additive (octane, water remover, etc) or it would pour on the ground from somewhere beyond the fill port. I never tried to siphon any fuel out but there are supposed to be little tabs in there to keep that from happening. I would think the only bad things someone could do would be pour a dry mixture of something in there (sand, sugar, etc)
Would be nice to see some sort of lock for piece of mind though!
