Cold Air Intakes
Hello all,
I've been looking at forums for days trying to figure out what i should do with my intake. I live in CA where emissions are super strict, and i have a few questions. I purchased a 2003 ford 6.0 crew cab. It has on it:
Bulletproof egr
sinister diesel coolant filter
blue spring upgrade
arp headstuds
replaced degas bottle
MBRP 4'' cat back exhaust with cat delete
NoLimit CAI
Pillar gauges monitoring fuel, boost, trans temp, egts
Replaced oil cooler
SCT X4 tuner/custom tunes
I recently was due for a smog check for my registration and since the no limit cold air intake is not CARB legal i had to remove it, install the OEM filter setup, re install the cat and tune the truck back to stock. After removing the intake i found a deep gash in the pipe to the turbo. Thankfully it had not penetrated through. The filter had some severe rub marks as well. Just was curious to see everyone's thoughts on a different cai setup that is CARB legal and that i can run my tunes with?
