Difference in hoop's?

My truck is a 97 but got a junkyard hpop that I was going to reseal and throw on till I can get the t500 build done to mine because I'm leaking like a gallon or more a week right now. I think the truck i got it off of was a 95... Will it work? Can I or do I need to switch the ipr's? Any help greatly appreciated

You will need to use the ipr of the junk yard one it is filtered the 97s use an unfiltererd ipr

Why not buy a gasket for your's and reseal it. Then send the one junkyard one in for a core charge asap for a t500?

Adrenaline from dieselsite, IMHO, is a touch better then the T500. I've tired them all, stock, 17°, T500 and Adrenaline.

Okay so I took the junkyard one apart today and it is not filtered.

Oldbird, does the quality make up for the extra money? The t500 is 450$ while the adrenaline I believe is closer to 700$ iirc? When its injector time I want to run 238 or 250/100's if it makes a difference.

Its debatable, just from my experience I think so. That's a lot of injector but the T500 or Adrenaline should keep up with them.

I'll have to do some research and see if I can find any good comparisons of the two. It would be nice to save a little money but if the adrenaline is a stronger pump then I'll spend the extra cash for it

Okay so I changed my pump out this weekend and I'm still pouring oil from the truck. It's a good steady drip from underneath when the truck is warm. It's more on the passenger side but it appears to be wet on both sides which makes me think it's coming from up above. How much oil could the turbo pedestal leak if the seals on it were bad?

It could be the turbo pedestal O rings, the two high pressure oil lines, a bad O ring on one of the plugs in the oil rail. How is your dip stick adapter on the passenger side of the oil pan? Sounds like your going to have to clean everything up then start looking.

I'm going to try and steam clean and degrease it the best I can after work tomorrow and then see what I can after I start it. I want to lean toward rail plug or maybe pedestal rings because of how high the oil is. I am just unsure as to what could leak this much. I'm going through at least a gallon a week. I'll report back tomorrow with what I find after cleaning

Check your high pressure oil lines. One of mine was lose and I lost 3 quarts of oil in 300 miles.

I just double checked both lines on to put the pump and also at the heads and those appear to be tight

Cleaned the engine best I could today, started it up and took a look. It would appear that there is defiantly oil coming out of the plug by the downpipe so Ive got a new one on the way and will change that out. Idk if that plug is the only thing leaking but fingers crossed

Those plugs have orings you can replace instead of changing out the whole plug, for the next time since you already ordered one haha

The whole new plug was only about 12$ shipped from riffraff and I had heard about them changing the design so I figured I'd just replace the whole thing. It should be here Thursday according to the tracking number
