I just checked mine and 1 side was locked and 1 was free that's how the factory sent it. I hope it didn't cause any damage as I constantly drive at 70mph
Mine were both manually locked for the first 500 miles. Heard popping during tight turns but didn't even cross my mind to check the manual locks with the esof stuff. Went to dealer and just happened to look at those as I was getting ready to give them the keys, turned to auto, and no more popping. Had the dealer document it in case of future issues.
Thanks for the heads-up, I'll be sure to check when mine comes in next month. Seems like a standard item the dealerships should be checking when they process the trucks in, but obviously don't based on bronc71's experience.
Well since we're on the topic. I Just realized my truck came with Manual hubs not auto/manual like I thought was standard. It appears those only come with shift on the fly (which I hate). So my question is can I swap
to auto/manual hubs with my manual transfer case?

You would have to replace the hubs and possibly the entire hub assembly as well. Then add the vacuum lines and an electric over air solenoid and then wiring to the cab and provide an electric switch in order to activate the system. Simple answer is no, difficult answer wonders is it worth it?

WHOA! I'll stick with getting out of the truck... I'm 29 so I've got plenty of time before it's too hard to get in and out.

When either you get to a real off and on climate like the northeast or you get to my age you will appreciate the auto hubs and the sotf. On my first 4wd I was proud to get out and turn the hubs in and out. Not so much any more, I am proud to sit in the seat and keep on going!! Sometimes I long for those older days just so I could have all this to look forward to!

Yup - remember those 4 wheeling days in the swamps and woods. Warn manual locking hubs.
