The1995 5 speed trucks are ALL speed density. Unless there is a unicorn EEC IV truck somewhere. I've looked for years for TRUCK MAF 5.0 5 SPEED computer for my 5,8 swap. None.

Very welcome. Its a pain in the butt not having a simple maf swap. This is the main reason the five speed guys do the mustang EEC swap.

On a related topic Mudsport, do you happen to know if there are any EEC-V MAF PCMs from 5.0L 5spd trucks (1996 for OBDII)? I suspect yes but thought I'd ask. My E4OD won't last forever, I'm trying to plan for the future and looking at all possible options.

Rigs, the revue right on summit says it all. Probably be OK in a light car, but a heavy truck may see issues.

Drivability and Power

Summit Racing Verified Purchase

For you foxbody guys, this Cam has great power and is very drivable. no idle issues (using stock tune in my 93 foxbody) and sounds great. bucks just a LITTLE bit (very little) at low RPMs. goes exceptionally well with 24# injectors and GT40 heads. makes for a excellent street machine!!!! will buy again.

Goinboardin, I haven't really looked into the OBD2 EEC V stuff since it would be an entire rewire of my truck. Maybe Conanski will know..

The profiles of the rollers are worth the money. They have aggressive ramp rates (rapid opening and closing of valves) combined with the decrease in friction. Cams are the biggest pains to swap, misewell cough up the extra dough for the better cam and forget about it.

Rigsboo, based on how you plan to use the truck I suggest you leave the stock cam in there and just add 1.7 rockers and longtube headers. Any cam with more duration than the stock F4TE cam will result in a loss of low rpm power with the 5.0, that is just the nature of the beast with this motor. I had the Comp 35-349-8 in the 5.0 in my old '90 with longtubes and MAF and it couldn't even chirp the tires.. completely gutless below 2000rpm.
