Fuel Pump Replacement
So the following is the reason I need to change fuel pumps.
I put 41 gallons of 93 octane in my EX on Saturday. I felt I had dodged the bullet after draining and flushing with fresh diesel before refilling with 44 gallons of fresh diesel. It took most all day, but I had it up and running. I had 100 miles on the new tank when it started stumbling at first. It was like 7 injectors firing. Shortly afterward it died. After getting a tow home for the second time, I noticed the fuel pump wasn't running when cycling the key on. I had cycled the key numerous times while waiting for my BIL to get there to tow me home, but it never would fire. It was too noisy to hear if the pump was running or not.
After my wife had cycled the key about 5 times I heard what sounded like a burp in the lines and the next time she turned the key the pump started running again. I had her cycle it 3 more times before I came out from underneath the truck and then started the truck and it sounded perfect.
My mechanic that walked me through how to drain and flush fuel through the system and into cans told me that the pump might be shot after pumping all the gasoline. I won't feel comfortable running the truck again until I get the pump changed out.
When I got my truck emergency box is a Racor pump I got from DieselFiltersOnLine.
I'll post the link in a minute.

Use Diesel10 as a discount.
Amazon has one for way less, but even as an AMZN stock owner, I'm getting really concerned lately with the stories of counterfeit items being sold out of Amazon, so for that price I'd wave off.
