Tips on replacing cab corners?

Hello all,

I have a 77 f150 that is basically my daily driver. Overall its in pretty nice shape but the cab corners and rocker panels really need to be replaced. I am fairly good with a welder and have looked at replacements from LMC truck, but I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on where to get them from and how to install them.

A few pictures.

I replaced both on my "79 a couple months ago. I got them from NPD and they fit pretty horrible. Poor stampings. I made them work since it's only a work truck, but for a restoration I would look elsewhere. No idea if LMC parts are the same or better.

It's fairly simple to replace the outer skins, drill out the spot welds around the perimeter and cut the top above the rust in clean metal. However, the inner pieces may be rusted as well and those pieces are not reproduced to my knowledge. You may need to make some patches for those areas...

TABCO! Their cab corners fit well and when I bought them, they were like ~$13.00 each.

I replaced both of mine and documented it in my build thread. Here's a link to the post where I started the replacement (ignore the blood in post #904):

LMC are no worse then any others. We've been using them on our restorations and there will always be some trimming required.
