Just about done with installing 2010 Superduty front suspension in my Ex. For some reason the sway bay hits the Coil spring and I can't bolt in the end links to the sway bar. Is 2010 different then 2005?? I could maybe modify the the front mount to move it forward but I am not sure there is enough space, plus it's perfectly centered right now. Any ideas? Doesn't seem to much room to slide the axle back either.
The '08+ front frame is different because of the new front end design. The front frame is lower (compare tow hook locations), no need for the crash bar from the earlier years. You will need to be creative, please post what you find, it is always great to see solutions to rare problems!!

Yea I figured a frame difference could be the problem. I might be able to shave the end of the sway bar and slot the mounting bracket. This could move the bushing off center. Switching to a 05 bar might be the answer . I'll have to check diameter differences
If you google, "2008 f250 front end" you'll some other folks who had tried this. Shortening tie rods and some other problems/solutions discussed too.
Having geometry problems at highway speeds when you hit a bump could end badly, be careful.

That search doesn't turn up anything other then front clip. Have any links?

There are a few others with bits-and-tidbits mixed in to the "fender conversion" threads... in other searches..
It's "easier" to search than do this conversion... based on what I see.
Depends what you mean, the '05+ SuperDuty with coil springs have 3" longer axles, larger brakes, wheels, and suspension.
So, to use the new bigger brakes, Ford changed to 17" (or larger) wheels in 05. The axles are also slightly longer (3 inches) so the backspacing on the wheels changed as well. So, it's mostly swapping components (with a few holes to drill/enlarge).
This is why you can't w/o using a spacer put '05+ wheels on the 99-04 SD or 00-05 Excursion.
Was told by several that without the newer box the turning radius would not improve.
It is drastically improved. I could be wrong cause I did it all at once, just want to make sure you take full advantage of conversion.

Yea I read the same. I talked to Redhead and they said the ratio is the same from lock to lock on the 05-07 boxes vs the 99-04. Just beefier components. My guess the turn radius comes from the axle and steering linkage setup. Seems more logical
If the Pittman arm was longer, then, it would turn the wheels further, hence reducing turning radius.
The '05 should turn the wheels more than prior years, since no leaf springs are in the way.
