Have any of you tried the oversize door hinge pins for F-100 doors from Mid Fifty? Im wondering if they are just a simple pin or if they are an oversize version of the original stock pins. I see Mid Fifty also offers an "adjustable" door hinge. Wondering how that works. I know in the Ford Manual, there is a shop tool available for the Ford Dealers (back in the day) that would bend the doors for adjustment.
Thnks Chad. Are the pins you got from Canadian Tire identical to the stock pins or oversize? Do they have the retainers on the bottom of the pin? How did drilling and tapping new holes in the existing hinges make them adjustable?

Bigger diameter. Best to go bigger so it gets rid of any rust pits etc. I think.
Tapping and adding bolts will create space between the hinge and door mount to help align the door in and out .
Ok, so you use the threaded holes to create space between hinge and door, then tighten the stock bolts? In other words, the hole you drill and tap does not go thru both pieces. It pushs them apart. Correct?

Correct. It only gets tapped in the hinge. It's a simpler way of adjusting rather than say add washers for spacing behind the door hinge bolts
Great thanks for your patience. On the oversize door pins, when you installed them, does the little keeper on the bottom of the stock pins also fit back on the replacement oversize pins?

It might be obvious to some, but just in case. The pins on the stock door hinges always point down, at least on the stock hinges I have removed from these trucks. I have not checked Canadian tire yet, but I know Mid Fifty is carrying replacement hinge pins for these trucks now. I think they run $3.00 each.
Another question for door hinges. The stock hinges take five bolts, two in the hinge to door sill and three in the hinge to door. Are they all the same style bolts?

The hinges require a total of 6 bolts, there is also on deep in the pocket on the door post.
Thanks for pointing that out John, I over looked the deep one. Can you tell me if they are all the same bolt in an original truck (the ones with the washer shoulder built into the bolt). Same question for length.
