Sorry guys no actual quiz here. I found this truck on the Internet and was wondering what the colour is? The truck is advertised as a 1965 Ford F-250 Twin I Beam
Fender badge on drivers side says Twin I Beam from the look of it. A Camper Special would have had Camper Special badges. Could have been changed but might be worth asking about if you were looking for a C/S specifically.
.
Thanks for the replies. I am not looking to purchase the truck and I thought it was a camper special but maybe it's not. I was more interested in the colour because I quite like it as opposed to the carribean turquoise that my truck is supposed to be.
Ranger and Custom Cab, as well as a dozens other names, are just add-on packages. Ford used these names as a way of categorizing things. Human's have a natural tendency to categorize things and Camper Special is as valid of a category as anything else.
To say that a Camper Special is not a truck is the same as saying that a Custom Cab is not a truck. But how many times has someone on here said their truck was a Custom Cab without you pointing out it is not a truck but rather an add on package.
If it's a Canadian truck F100, I would say that colour could be Dynasty Green, paint code UT for Tu-Tone Wimbledon White and Dynasty Green. Your posted pic is a bit more silver looking, maybe just faded ? Some '65 Mustangs popped up with that colour when I searched. I'm assuming that your pic is showing an original colour, but who knows unless one can check the warranty plate.
I would kill to have that floor mat, it would look sweet in my Mercury with the "high hump" the 4 speed.
Here's a pic of a similar truck that was for sale a few years back, I could have grabbed it for about $15K, if I recall. It would have been money well spent, except for those incorrect mirrors.

Reason: additional info.
Based on the colors available for 1965, I'd say Tropical Turquoise or Skylight Blue
Based on this chart I would say it is silver blue poly metallic which is the same code as skylight blue. I am trying to contact the seller to get the warranty plate info. Thanks for the replies
Well, without seeing the Warranty Plate, it's all speculation
I believe I saw this truck f/s on kijiji in Saskatchewan??
....and my 10+ years in a body shop tell me that is a respray, (as opposed to factory applied paint) colour also resembles a car we worked on @ N.A.I.T. (trade school), a '79 Thunderbird, which was painted a very similar colour, I also remember it was a beyatch to spray that colour, very prone to tiger-striping..........

Congratulations Dank4120 you win the prize of knowledge. I was able to contact the seller and I got a picture of the warranty plate. The code is UT which is Canadian for Wimbledon White and Dynasty Green. The inside of the box does show a more green hue so I guess the exterior pics was a trick of digital photography and the lighting when the picture was taken. I am assuming the pic you sent of the truck is Dynasty green and in which case I do not like it that much. I prefer the silver blue metallic.

Just curious what reveals to you that it is a respray? The extra pics that I got sent to me reveal heavy rust above the tool storage box in the passenger side of the box
After a few years of looking at vehicles, I guess it's part experience/ part hunch, but any time I've had the opportunity to look in person @ ones I speculated on original vs respray from pics, my average is probably something like 80% or better.

I looked at this very same truck a few years ago when I was sort of in the market for parts for my then 66 Mercury. It is indeed located in Saskatchewan, up in Melfort I think? Cant remember what he was asking but I do remember it was quite a bit back then..
Yup, same truck I noticed at the guys place when I was out there in 2012 looking at an overpriced 64 Galaxie 500 convertible, one of his 54 other random ads... The car was a wreck, but he had some other interesting vehicles, including the 65 f250 with the 240 sitting in the bush. I believe he was asking $5000 at that time as well, which I thought was at least $4000 high. I was only curious because of wanting parts for my 66 Mercury I had planned to restore and refinish with custom trim in red/white or blue/white like is on this truck.
I sold the mercury later that year after doing some gaskets, steering column and carb. Incidentally the guy I sold it to is now reselling it..In my opinion some of the changes he made were not for the better, as it looks very different now, painted rims, back window decals just a bit too much for me..
