Scott,

I do take some coconut oil, but not much. I did the 23 genetic test and had those run through Prometheus and Dr. Rhonda Patricks analysis (side note, those are a possible, not certain outcomes). I have to watch my fat absorption, it doesn't process that great. Before that my gasto doc thinks my digestive path has been hurt by the Levaquin reaction I had, after multiple applications of the drug. That's a long path back.

The Levaquin hurt way more then I've ever let on here.

No, I've been diagnosed Diabetic since 2013, but then my A1C was 7.3. After that, the average has been 6.1 with 2k of Metformin. Levaquin hit was 2016.

I'm now at 5.0 with a reduction to 1k of Metformin.

Rob, yeah, blood sugar goes hand in hand with body weight.

Excess carb intake then you can use, you pump up insulin, insulin drives excess glucose into fat, but first to the liver, aka fatty liver disease, then into storage on the bod. Docs measure the wrong thing, insulin levels foretell glucose in the blood, so the issue could be caught years earlier.

this year will be year number 3 checking out elevated liver enzymes... i'm sure trying to get ahead of that one, especially if i can do something about it!

i lost about 80 pounds over the last 10 years, and i'm never putting myself through that again - too hard to get fat and loose it again lol

Up through '08 mine were in the mid 20's, now doubled. I've got bloodwork 4x per year for decades. Prior to '08 everyone used to ask what I did due to my bloodwork being so perfect. One doc says the change was probably due to high cortisol from the stress of taking care of my mother for 7 years. The bloodwork is like from two completely different people over a decade. My diet didn't change through that, but what I know now .....

That's really good that you were able to drop that.

I had been doing just black coffee for some time keeping the carbs low, but I need to kick my fat up to kick over the Ketones. It has become my heaven drink in the morning, after 18oz of water. 40oz goes too far.

Anyway, not that I'm promoting Keto guys. I'm have been doing it, it has helped me some, but I'm also looking at other paths. There a lot better info our there then Butter Bob Briggs, but he was fun to watch.

Butter or any other fat will after about three hours turn into an increase in blood glucose levels. So in order to minimize that you have to
be burning that or adding insulin and if not you can always pee it out in the urine. If you go for the last route then you run a whole hose
of bad things with a UTI being the lease of them.

This morning, coffee with a lot of local chatter about the storm we had last night. For a little while around our house, trees were moving like we were having a Nor’easter but the wrong direction.

I think the keto thing is pretty neat, it's certainly got it's place! I find it's more of a 'jump-start' mechanism for me though. There's no way I can keep it up in my current state as long as some people do. I'm way too cranky haha! and lethargic. One thing i've learned from it - I can start off every day with my starches and fruits and stuff, and then eat meals latter in the day that typically pass as keto. I feel great when I do that consistently.

Im ok now,I have a bunch of clean up to do and work is begging me to come in.I took a V day today but it was no vacation. I'm on generator power till Friday from what JCP and L tells us. We definitely had a Tornado come through. My poor ducks coupe got destroyed, they are currently residing in a cage in the garage. How they survived is beyond me and without a scratch.
