I ran my battery dead the other day and had to jump start the truck. I have a 2007 F150 Super Cab 5.4 Triton. Since jump starting the truck i immediately heard a clicking noise coming from inside the cab. I then noticed the 4 way flashers were operating but indicator on the dash was not. Also my dash lights are blinking unless i turn on the parking lamps then all seems normal. I have had some say its the GEM unit but i have had no issues until now and everything is operating perfectly except i can't stop the 4 ways from operating or dash from blinking? HELP PLEASE I'M VERY FRUSTRATED!
First .... that's a Gorgeous Truck! Just saw a bigger pic in another thread ....
As to your issue, may be just unhook battery for a few minutes?
Read on ....
I recall something similar happening with a truck at work (I work part time now at AAP) that was brought in by a student after having it jump started. He had some issues like you, though I won't swear they were exactly the same.
Anyway, he needed a battery so he bought a new Group 65 and I installed it. He was in a hurry and didn't want to wait for a buddy (who was using the only jump pack to keep memory alive) to finish an install .... so it being a late Ford like my '07, I changed it without the memory saver.
After I was done .... whatever his lighting issue was ..... was no more .... as all worked well.
