2008 F250 5.4L LIGHTING ISSUE

my 2008 f250 running lights on top of truck go on when I hit the breaks and put turn signal on. it all started when I started having issues with trailer hooked up put turn signal on and I get flashers. what could be the problem?

yes. I guess I should specified that. the running light going on while breaking and turn signal is one issue and trailer is another

It may be in the trailer harness, climb under and disconnect the harness and just plug it back together like you have no trailer harness, see if the light are correct. If they are then you know the short is in the harness and you can either trace that or buy a new harness for the trailer. I guess I should have been clear, I'm talking about the adapter.
