HELP!!

thanks for all your replies in advance. i just recently replaced a FICM in a 2006 f250 with a 6.0, it was reading 35 volts when hooked up to a diagnosis computer. i bought a 58 volt, aftermarket ficm. just installed that today. back to the beginning of the story. the truck was cranking, but very slow, so naturally i went and bought 2 new batteries. that helped a little, but still wouldnt start. so i went and bought a new 6.4 starter to get the extra cranking power. still wouldnt start. so i was stumped. so i needed all the help i could get, so i went to google first. forums suggested the ficm was bad. so i went to my local mechanic and got him to bring the computer and we diagnosed the ficm was bad. so i bought one, installed it today. i was cranking the truck, and there was this noise which i think was coming from the alternator, just a squeling noise. after cranking for 10 minutes or so, the truck acted like it was going to start, but nothing. does it sound like my alternator is trying to lock up? is my ficm bad? this is my last resort and i dont know what else to do or look for. thank you for any answers or help in advance!

What you are describing sounds very much like it could be a bad logic board in your FICM. Easiest way to rule it in or out would be to try to install this FICM in another 6.0. If that's not an option, you could always send it on in to us and we could tell you for certain.

Regardless, I'd suggest pulling the alternator and getting it bench tested. Bad voltage regulators cause this issue all the time.
