i also have another problem that could be related to the pcm, when i get my truck started in cold weather the truck doesnt idle up and EBPV will not come on, if i get in it and idle it up with the peddle to about 1000 RPM the valve kicks on and everything works, if i let it go back to idle it shuts off again. when you start the truck you can hear the valve testing its self about thirty seconds after you start it it very briefly turns on and shuts off, ive checked and cleaned the EBPS and tube and it didnt change anything, and as soon as the truck warms up the valve shuts off. what ive been doing is sticking a pen under the throttle lever to rev it up and leave it there to warm up in the morning, but could this be related to my PCM glowplug problem?
The EBPS has no impact on the EBPV. EBPV operation is based on EOT.
Not sure what throttle lever you're referring to; is it the pedal itself? Yeah, it _could_ be related, but now that the wife is home and I can get to the EVTM, I'm too tired to try to study it....
"Not sure what throttle lever you're referring to; is it the pedal itself?"
Yep sorry i ment the lever that connects the peddle to the throttle position senor
So i checked and cleaned a bunch grounds today and nothing made a diffrence, i am going to try a different ground wire from the battery to the core support. there was .8 ohms in it, so a little high.
I sent my pcm off to a guy in Washington who repairs old automotive electronics and he said that there was a few components that where getting old that he replaced but it didn’t fix the glow plug issues but when I swapped transmissions I installed the fivespeed pcm and it fixed the glow plug issues
