My wife has a Caddy the camera appears to be the same system. However her nose camera comes on when it gets close to an object. Is there a way of turn on our so as it does same same?
I got the Ultimate tow-camera package and a high cost. It appears the system only comes manually and cannot be turned on while drive at speed????
I installed a camera on my last truck and wired it into a monitor, thru the upfitter switches and it was on all the time so I could either see my bed or my trailer if I was pulling on and I also had one on the back of my 5th wheel and I could flip back and forth. All this cost a few hundred bucks. I love the Ford system if I am unable to use it other than at a dead stop, not sure its worth the money. IS there any way to turn on some of the cameras while moving?
NOTE It would be ez for Ford to have several camera options working ONLY when you have pluged into the rear trailer connector.
Infiniti did the same but there are also the same sensors in the front bumper that are like in the rear bumper and I believe these sensors trip the forward camera. Not sure why Ford did not put in the forward sensors with the camera in lieu of the manual process of touching the screen. Agree with you.
