Air Pumps

I have a 1985 F250 4WD 7.5L (All emissions and no power) with 2 air pumps. About 5 years ago the belt broke and I found it seemed to have more power without them so I never replaced the belt.

I am now replacing the water pump and with everything off am wondering if I can leave them off and plug all the hoses involved.

You can plug the three inlets where the checkvalves are.
I did that when I installed my L&L alternator bracket.

I used inhex pipe plugs I found on Ebay because Dorman discontinued the # I needed.
I *think* they were 3/8 npt.
