CAI worth it?

I have a Livernois Tuner with everything stock and love it. Thinking about a CAI ad wondering if it is worth it and how much it adds?

Totally worth it on the 5.0 IMO for that gnarly growl it adds under heavy throttle. But don't expect any noticeable performance gains.

The stock intake is a CAI. It takes in air from the fender well and is sealed under the hood.

I'd do an exhaust before an intake.

But either one your're not going to feel any power difference. Only hear it.

Beat me to it. I was checking the air filter the other day, and I noticed that very thing. Cold air (on my 3.5L EB) comes in from the front of the truck. Probably more valuable to improve the exhaust.

Same with the 2016 5.0. Scoop to the front that gets air at the gap just under the hood..

3.5 ecoboost has the opening at the front of the hood but is also sealed. CAI may help slightly when you're already moving but if you're going slow or stopped the hat will build up,under the hood.

Aftermarket intakes get the air from the same location as the stock unit.
