Finally finished the painting and got everything put back together. I didn't take pictures all along the way because I was so focused and wanted to get done.
Drivers side with pockets on. Ended up screwing them into the door because the cardboard was broken and ripped out where the plugs go in. I'll probably use a little double sided tape on the bottom so they don't move when I close the doors.
Finished Passenger Side with the carpet I got from the Pick N Pull with the Mrs. It looks great with only a couple cigarette burns. Not faded much either.
Here's the faded carpet that was on the door. I'll probably keep it for a bit and be a pack rat.
All in all the directions from SEM worked. The difference in color was not noticeable that I can see. My son did all the adhesion promoter and paint. My son wanted the doors to be smooth and I wanted the rough look from sanding. We kept the sanded look and I'm loving it. It has some type of texture and isn't glass/shiny.
It was a good "Father/Son" project for us to do. It'll be nice to get him involved when I do my stereo addon with the amp and Aux/Bluetooth.
You might try the SEM paint on the faded fabric. One guy on here did that with his XLT bench seat and it looked great afterwards. It's not supposed to be crunchy or anything. Worth a shot, better than throwing them away!

The ones in the picture are the panels I did replace. I'm going to keep them for a bit then if not used I'll put them up to someone that might want them. Hate to throw them away.
Nice work for sure ! I'm curious about your choice of seat covering. It looks to be a well installed cover ? Please correct me if i'm wrong, but if i'm right, could you share about where it's from and how you managed to get it looking tight/right ? I'm looking towards having the Falsa Blanket idea worked into my seat upholstery but I like the looks of yours as maybe a temporary (year or two) option.

Honestly, the cover was on the seat when I got the truck. I've looked into replacing it because the one I have now is faded. When I looked the best one I can find (that will fit as good as what I have) is the Coverking Cover from Amazon.
Sorry for the late reply. I'm working nights the next week on a big network upgrade here at work. A lot of weird hours and lack of sleep.
Looks terrific! Thank you for sharing. You've just convinced me to do the same.
If you read up on the following post Canyon Red Interior Refurbishing Notes you can get a lot of information. I added my new findings and where I got what on page 3.
