F26 = F250 4WD

C = 292 2V

K = Kansas City MO Assembly Plant.

206740 = 1962, assembled August 1961.

Your truck is a 1984. Please ask questions in the LARGE TRUCK forum. This is the 1961/66 F100 and larger truck forum.

Last 6 digits of the VIN number for the 1961-1966 trucks. Then you have to reference some charts to determine the Month and Year.

OP has a 1984 F700, why I asked him to post questions in the LARGE TRUCK forum.

1981 and later trucks have a 17 digit VIN and the production date is printed at the upper left of the Certification Label.

Check again, idt572 was the one asking the 1984 f700 question...wfo1955 asked the most recent question.

Dang it, someone this thread, causing confusion.

Here's the 1961/63 serial numbers (last 6 digits of the VIN) decoded to the month/year.

Welcome to FTE

D = This is a 1983 F700. VIN's for 1980's trucks are not decoded in this forum.

Please ask this question in the LARGE TRUCK forum, this forum is for 1961/66 F100 and larger trucks.
