Swap reg. bed for a step side bed?

I am putting my 1966 swb back together and the bed needs a lot of work. I have found a step side bed in good shape so here is my question.
Can I just swap the beds? I have not done any measuring but I am sure that someone has already done this work. Is it just a swap and all the bolt holes line up or will I find there are other opportunities?
thanks

I can't answer the question but can try to measure the bolt locations in the bed if that would help? I have a 61 flare side.

bed change

Your bed measurements would be appreciated.

What is the abbreviated term ND? I think looking at the schematics would also be helpful.

Thanks for your comments.

ND = NumberDummy. He is a treasure trove of information about old Fords. Legend has it he used to work for a dealership or for Ford or.....well I don't know the details but has access to an overwhelming amount of information.

I'll try and get you those measurements tonight.

Parts catalog doesn't have any measurements. 1961/66 F100 Flareside short bed is the same, but 1957/60 may be different due to the 110" wheelbase.
