I've been talking to some different companies about their weld-in ifs for these trucks and most say it lowers the truck 4-6 inches and I'm guessing the difference is either using standard or lowered spindles. My question is has anyone ever dropped the front 6 inches using a coilover suspension instead of airbags and if so did it greatly effect your turning radius since you can't raise and lower the truck? I'm thinking of doing a coilover ifs with 6 inches of drop and a flip kit and shackle in the rear with a c-notch to get it close to level. If anyone has done this and has pics or can provide any info I'd greatly appreciate it!
FYI.. a rear axle flip will net about 5.25 inches of drop.
Thanks HIO...you may know, but are these trucks raked around 2 inches from front to back like late-model trucks? Basically if you drop the front 6 inches you need to drop the back 8 inches to get them level?
Yes.. OEM has about two inches of rake to account for loads... 'Could make up some of the difference to level with split tire sizing... but maybe not all of it.

With 5.25 inches in the flip kit and a 2 inch shackle that would get it almost level with just a little rake left if using the same size tire all the way around. I just wonder if a truck lowed that much is going to be something I can drive when I want and where I want without having air ride. The truck wouldn't be my daily driver, but I will never have a trailer queen either...I want something I can drive what I want and ride good when doing it.
