lowering help
I have a 81 F-150 stepside and i need lowering parts and i cant seem to find any for what i want to do
i want to lower my Rig to the ground
if any 1 knows what i need please help me

If you want to "put it in the weeds" and "drag the frame" then you will need to go with an Air Ride System. See www.ridetech.com as an example. Be prepared to spend a bunch of money to go that far.
If you want to just improve the stance and drop the truck 3 - 4 inches in the front and rear AIM, Beltech, and DJM all offer Drop I-Beams for the front and Lowering Hangers for the rear.
You can drop the rear even farther (5" to 7") by using a "Flip Kit". This moves the spring from top of the axle to underneath. If you go this way, you will probably have to "C-Notch" the frame to provide axle clearance.

if i go that way what can i do to stiffen up the suspension
cause i dont want the axle to hit the frame
will it do that even with a c- notch
do you know where i can get "C-NOTCH", flip kits, and drop coils for the front.
can i get drop spindles or do they even make thm for the year of my truck

go to your local grocery store, newstand, wal-mart, or whatever get a Truckin' magazine and start calling the vendors in that catolog there are tone of companies that make dropped front beams for 80-86 fords and rear end lowering stuff too. Have fun and let me now i've considered this route before.
