clutch differences between 87 and 93 F series

so, heres a little back story for you all

i used to have this cool old daily driver beater, 87 F150, 300, 4 speed 2 wheel drive. thing was literally fireproof. (another days story) i noticed the head gasket was out of it, was buying parts to pull the six out, give it a refreshening, and when i went to pull the bellhousing bolts, i noticed the frame was trash. My truck was an organ donor, so it went on to save many other trucks.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago. i traded for a 1993 F350, 2wd, 351W, 5 speed. the thing has to be a total slug, being a 4 door longbox with a small block, but whatever. the clutch is toast, barely made it on the trailer. So, im not going to tear into it immediately, but i got to thinking, "i ordered a new Centerforce clutch for the old Farm Truck" sure enough, sitting on the shelf was a new centerforce clutch, an 11 inch, no box anymore.

So, the question of the day is, will an 11 inch clutch that was for an 87 with a straight six work for a 93 with a 351?

I looked up both trucks, both share the same 11" part number.

Clutch set work, yes.

The flywheels are not interchangeable.

i was tryingto poke around and see if the factory part numbers would cross, but i seemed to be running around in circles.

thank you for the info, i was 90% sure that it would, but i wanted some verification.

As forthe flywheel, i learned that lesson many moons ago, a 302 flywheel on a 351W. That thing shook like bloody hell.

^^^^^ Best way I found to check for cross-vehicle part compatibility is to go to RockAuto.com, pull down both vehicles, go to the part for each, and scroll up and down and compare part numbers.

this is also my typical method, but it didnt pencil out for me, because most half tons only ran a 10 inch clutch from the factory.
