Antifreeze | Coolant | Khameleon | Safety-Kleen
This is the product the only thing I see is AstmD6210 for heavy duty diesels , what we don't know is the silicate drop out and other formulas involved with it, that's the issue with ford gold in time it will clog up the oil cooler passages , and by the looks of the degus I think it already started .
When you do a Thuro flush ( not with well water) by city tap, your suppose to get the engine up to temp drop the block plugs and flush put the plugs back in do it again until all coolant is out and tap water runs out clear, then do the same with distilled water except you can get 2 or three flushes out , the distilled is to flush the tap out , then start adding the ELC coolant and distilled water 50/50 mix, what really helps is adding the fomoto drain plugs on the block , you can add a piece of hose to the end to direct it into a 5 gal bucket and not your arm pit ( or face). The hardest side is the starter but I managed to get the plug on with only minor hand burns , best to drain then add the fomoto drain plug then start the flushes .
That looks like the residue from a blown oil cooler. If you have oil in your coolant, it would be obvious. If you bought the Truck used, the PO likely blew the oil cooler. Remove the degas and clean and reinstall.
Mine wasn't that bad and it was a blown oil cooler. Temps differences were fine but there was definitely oil in the coolant. You should or may get excess pressure in the degas bottle also. I'd have somebody that really knows the 6.0 look at it before wasting time on a flush.
