Pavement pounders, Montana Cadillacs....let's see those platinums hauling! Picked this up for tree trimming and gutter guard installations. Guy was skeptical that this would pull it. He said it's the first truck he'd seen that would. Not sure if he meant a high end model or a 3/4 ton in general. Maybe he thought it was a 150. Anyway the lift is 8400 lb + trailer on pintle hitch.
Nice. Those 5K axles on that trailer are screaming! All I can say is I'm glad it's not my trailer. I've learned to get 7500K axles on everything. Tires last and wear properly, no worries.
Seems silly for the rental place to say that about towing this rig. 10k is easily doable with the 150, especially with a balanced tongue weight like you've got.
You try the exhaust brake? I hope it's as good or better than my 2015 is.
Yeah....years ago when I rented a Bobcat, they would not let me rent it/take it unless I was picking it up with a 3/4 Ton or above pickup. That was a few years ago. Not sure if that's changed with the newer 1/2 Tons.
