Ditch, The ink for the lettering on the gauge faces is some sort of water based product. Get it wet, with anything, & it starts to come off & smear. If dusty, I use a small soft bristle paint brush to clean the face. if that doesn't work, I gently wipe the face with a soft cloth. That's the best you can do.

I appreciate the reply Scott. I didn’t do any5hing with mine yet, but I’m glad I stumbled across those videos and posted about it. I’m sure mine would be looking the same as 5hose did. I’m a little surprised somebody even had some info on the subject.
