I have an early 03 F250 6.0 that won't start after I replaced all 3 FICM connectors, also # 8 injector pin and connector. It has been almost impossible to start before the repair.
I checked the grounds on pins #1 2 3 22 they were all .5 ohms pin #32 was 1.0 ohms.
Pins #7 27 were 12.7v ( battery voltage)
I have double checked all pin connections and wire colors, they are in the right holes, I haven't done any cranking voltage tests, as I am alone. The FICM has 48.2 v.
I don't know where to go from here. PLEASE HELP
Hi, do you have a scanner on the truck? One of my "no start" conditions was a stand pipe o ring. My CTS scanner only showed 100 (or so) psi of oil pressure from the hpop.
I had put in new stand pipes, but one of the o rings blew out, leaving me dead in the water.
No I don't have a scanner, a friend of my son has one but he is driving truck during harvest, wont be for about 15 days. In the meantime I am stuck with a DVOM. I am going to plug it in tonight and try again in the mourning, by the way it is trying, it will fire a couple of cylinders then nothing. I have black smoke then turns white. I have checked and rechecked everything. This is frustrating. I will crank it for about 30 seconds at a time.
Put your battery's on a charger witch bring the question how old are they?, need to see Ficm volts cold start needs nothing lower than 45 v , your ICP volts needs .85 v to start also ICP needs 520 psi, try unhooking the ICP to default to IPR , it's a pain because there located under the turbo , or get it from underneath .
No scan gage, unable to gather any values at this time. I had it plugged in over night, it fired once, then nothing. Acts just like it did before I changed #8 injector.
I guess I am stuck until I get a scanner, or something to read voltages.
I just replaced the connector plug end, and yes the injectors buzz when the key is turned off, I don't recall if they buzz fith the key is on, will check tomorrow.

NO buzzing before starting, or after turning the key off. BUT they have always buzzed after dealer flash, for about 30 seconds when key is turned off.
Yes the FICM clips were broken
What does this indicate?

If you have another 6.0 to test with, you can also pull your FICM and drop it in that truck to see if the issues follow the FICM. If they do, you could send it on in and we could get you going again.
