Diablo Predator
Anyone run one? I had a buddy give me his (no longer has the truck) to try out. Once I get it figure out, i'd like to try a tune for maybe fuel mileage and something for towing. Anyone have any files?

Not sure what they offer now, I have the old old Predator. SCT is better as Predator just used to bump the line pressure to the trans plus they ran some advanced fuel timing that lifted heads. One thing nice you could Flash the FICM also with Predator if I remember correctly.

It may not even work with the strategy in your truck but is a good unit for diagnostics. By the time you fool around trying to find a tune, an SCT could be on your door step with correct tuning. I would use caution if you have no head studs.

A good friend used to have an 05 and had this sitting on the shelf. I really had no desire to tune the truck since it's only used for towing the camper or anything else i want. Rest of the time it sits in the garage. But if i could get a little something in it to help with mileage or towing then I'd do it. But yeah motor is bone stock so I sure as heck wasn't going to put something in there for racing lol

I'd sell that on E bay and get a SCT Livewire. That way you can monitor the trucks pids and have the right tunes you want for towing. I've heard bad things about tuners with anything but SCT. I always say if it's free,it's for me, but in this case it might cost you in the long run.

call them yet or are they playing stupid mine wont load any programs in my truck and I'm not crossing the state for a place that sells them for them to look at it had a problem when I first got it ,it wouldn't load so was heading home to New England and there was a place not far from my parents house so went there talk to the guy tried to load it then we called Fl. the guy on the other end of the line said if wasn't my unit it would disable the truck he didn't like my answer especially when I showed the dealer the paid for receipt needless to say the programmer was forced to my truck and worked great for awhile and now it won't load again seems Ford might have put a block on any programing other than fords if so their is going to be some problems
