Both of my 66 4WD trucks still have the original rubber strips attached. I don't know of a source for Ford replacements of those, but I did want to say that in all cases that I know of - the rubber strips go on top of the apron, not from the backside.
I just removed the original staples and rubber strips from the one truck and all Ford was doing was cutting up inner tubes for that piece. I can post pics if you want, but on the backside is markings and moldings in the rubber that make it evident that is all it was. The inside smooth surface of the inner tube was faced upward so it looked nice.
I found inner tube material was also used as the lower seal of the transfer case lever.

Sure, please post pics, that would be fantastic!!! I just happen to have inner tubes!
Did you find one of the brackets yet? I have one if you want it.
If you can send me one that would be great, I have plenty of other stuff to do on the truck that I can circle back around. You've got my address!! Thanks again!

Not sure how well this will show up, but the upper one has a curved molded rib just like an inner tube and the lower one has a curved blue stripe. Cut from the side slabs of inner tube, I'm sure.

Did the bracket arrive to you safely? I sent it last week and haven't heard back from you yet. Thanks.
