I guess? I'm not really sure...all I know is that the guy who rebuilt my carb (his whole business is rebuilding them and he warranties his work) rebuilt it and it runs good, but it misses a bit at idle, has a bit of black smoke (I attribute those two to fouled plugs...I hope) and whenever I give it a lot of gas, it hesitates for a second before going, or it stalls out completely. This is on a 460 btw
If you are not in a hurry, I think I have a complete Motorcraft 4350 carb that is yours for free. It should fin in a flat rate box. I am at work till Saturday night and could mail it out on Monday. It was from my 76 F250 w/ a 460.

The 4350 was a badly designed carb right from the factory almost none of them ever ever ran properly. It has several engineering issues that need fairly major work to fix and even then the 4350 will never work as good as a Holley, no matter what you do to it..
The best thing you could is pull the 4350 pack it away in a box to keep the original pieces then install a spread bore Holley.

If it has the parts you need, it's yours.
Don't worry about it, I think I'm going to go with what the other guy recommended and switch carbs. This one has been nothing but trouble, honestly. I guess my next question is: What model of Holley/Edelbrock am I looking at, and what would I need to make it work? Just an adapter plate?
I don't think he needs a whole new carb, it sounds like he needs an e-clip.
you can buy them for $1 at the hardware store or Lowes, etc.
Personally I lose enough of them that I just buy the 400 e-clip assortment set for $10 from summit. Saves me the trouble of running to town when I drop one.
Sorry, it just pisses me off that I spent $320 on the rebuild and install (he is one of the few guys that puts new Teflon bushings in the throttle shaft) and for that money, I could've gotten a brand new Holly.
It likely is not his fault, but do blame the idiots that designed that abortion.
The Motorcraft 4350 has several engineering issues and is the single worst 4BBL carb to ever come out of Detroit period..
The known engineering issues, hesitation, poor acceleration, rough idle, stumble/miss at part throttle, etc etc etc.
The 4350 was used from 1975 to 1978 and was thankfully pitched for 79 and was replaced by a Holley.
Ford sold an Emissions complaint Holley to replace the 4350's that came back on warranty and could not be made to run right.
Really the best thing you can do it remove the 4350 and replace it with a spread bore Holley.
Eh, he should've tuned it perfectly. No reason I should have black smoke at idle...I like the guy so I doubt I'll say anything, but if I keep having problems, I'll have to.
All of my emissions crap is gone so I'll probably be better off with a regular Holley Spread bore, correct? Might as well get a new intake also...
