I picked up a 1995 f350 gas. it has what looks like a 4.5 inch lift from pictures I have looked at. The truck rides like a tank and has no give. I was reading that the shackle reverse kit is ideal for the front. my questions is how do I know what springs to get to eliminate the blocks in the rear, and what springs go with the kit for the front. I was thinking a deaver spring I had them on an old Cherokee and seemed to flex well. Thanks in advanced for the help.
Yeah, three shocks, springs with a lot of arch and a shackle up front will do that. Try pulling two shocks and see how much it improves. An RSK will help too but you should really sort out that shock absorber cluster **** first.
Get rid of the stacked blocks too. I'm sure someone here will tell you you're gonna kill a bus load of nuns. I don't hate them quite that much but they definitely aren't an ideal solution.
I spoke to a guy at off road warehouse yesterday and he stated it maybe a super-lift kit. His suggestion was to ditch the entire thing and go with a skyjacker lift. I have read on here that those also ride like crap. I would like to source a good set of leafs with the appropriate height to replace the blocks completely in the rear. For the front I want to do a shackle reverse and a leaf spring that will work. If I am able to do this then I would just add one nice shock in place of the three upfront. The best part is, is it looks like just three stock shocks.

Back in the 80's every big lifted truck had blocks on the rear axle....
Of course you couldn't buy everything out of a catalog back then. Friend in HS had a '76 Suburban with 4" axle, 3" body and 36" Super Swampers. It was bigger then most school buses Fun times.
Hey guys sorry I'm somewhat new to this and can't figure out how to make my own post. But I'm looking for ball joint torque specs and spindle nut torque spec for a 94 f250

There is a button that says new thread in the upper left hand corner of the initial page. According to what I read the new ball joints should come with specific torque specs and an order on how to tighten. for example: Moogs the Initial bottom torque was 35 ftlbs then top to 69 ftlbs and then final lower was 150
Place hub back on spindle and tighten first nut to 50 ftlbs to seat bearings. Make sure nipple is to the outside. Rotate hub and back off a quarter turn maximum. Line up the lock ring hole with the nipple on the nut by moving it as little as possible. Tighten outer nut to 50 ftlbs.
Ok my plan is a sky shackle reverse kit in the front with super duty springs. I think these are the code V springs everyone is talking about please help me if I'm wrong. Ford F250 SuperDuty,4wd Truck Leaf Spring, Ford F350 SuperDuty,4wd Truck Leaf Spring, Front this should give me about 5 inches in the front if I read everything correctly 3 from the SR, and 2 from the spring.
I'm thinking the bilstein 5100 shock front and rear, leave the multi shock setup up front and only run one bilstien.
Does anyone have experience with these leaf springs? Skyjacker Softride Lifting Leaf Springs - Rear (Rear Softride Leaf Springs (Pair)) 1995 Ford F-350 Qty: 1. this should give me 5 inches in the read without using a block. I think this will address the ride issues, and the giant rear blocks, let me know if I'm correct.
what is the hieght from the bottom of the fender to the center of the hub on a stock truck? that way I can measure it and measure mine to determine how much lift I actually have.
Have you considered PMF for your shackle reversal?
It is a much superior product to Sky's and excellent customer service. 1988-1997 OBS F-250/350
I have I originally was looking at this kit, then read several thread stating that the sky one was better quality. It sucks there isn't a kit that includes a RS with everything I'm on three different websites piecing stuff together, hoping it will all work together. I have looked at all the out of the box kits and non that I have found include a RS which seems to make a giant improvement.
