usb port and card were working fine now it says usb empty, tryed disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and a different card, still nothing, and the port wont charge anything either. the truck is a 2012.
I seem to recall from doing it on my 2011 that you need to have the files on the usb in a certain spot - either not in a subdirectory or in the same one as on the computer. Can't remember which way
I don't recall the exact fuse, but it seems that there was one that I had to pull behind the passenger side kick panel a few trucks ago. If you have your manual you might also find a reset procedure.

Hi rkyle914,
Which system do you have: owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/all/setup/how-to-identify-your-sync-version.html Also, when you say "card," are you referring to the SD card slot?

There is a software update for the APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module) that might correct your concern and other SYNC related issues that you may or may not be experiencing. If your truck was built before 6/13/2013 and is NOT EQUIPPED WITH MyFord Touch I recommend having this update checked and performed at your favorite Ford Dealer. I have corrected several of these with success. If you do go to the dealer reference (technical service bulletin) TSB 13-9-22 The dealer will also be able to perform any necessary diagnostics and identify any potential hardware faults which possibly exists if the USB port does not even charge a device when plugged into the port. Aside from the reset, the only other thing you could try is accessing the APIM and the USB port and unplugging the cable and reconnecting it as sometimes its just a poor connection causing the problem.

Thanks for the help, the stealership wanted $128 just to "look at it". it was a bent contact not sure how it happened probably from someone bumping the usb card.
