Hi all. My truck is just over 1 month old. I just found out that my mft is not working properly. When I go into services, and then ask for directions, I get nothing. The voice tells me that they can't locate my vehicle. I tried several master resets with no results. I called ford and they told me to do a master reset. Told him I did and he checked my account. Said everything is good, it should work. He said it might be a g p s issue with the truck and to take it to the dealer. Has anyone had this problem? Any other ideas before I make the service call. Thanks.

I'd recommend a fuse pull instead of a battery disconnect. The SYNC fuse is a 15 amp, located in position #2 under the passenger compartment panel (page 315): http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pub.../13f12om3e.pdf
I would also advise verifying that your phone is working properly, as SYNC borrows the cellular module in your device to communicate with SYNC Services. Try removing the battery form your phone for a minute, then reconnecting. Also, make sure the in-call volume is all the way up on your phone. Let me know how it goes!
KJ. You are correct. I just have the basic sync with the 4.5 screen. Antonio, I have an I phone. Don't know how to pull the battery. I will try to pull the fuse. This is the same phone that I used with my 13 explorer that I traded for the truck. It worked well with the explorer. No problems at all. Every thing works except the directions part. Looks like a trip to the dealer is in order. Thanks.
Just an update on my issue. Went on the sync my ride page and was looking around. To make a long story short, it turns out that I failed to activate the sync service. Once I did all is ok now. Don't know how I missed that. I even called ford and they said my account was active, that's why they thought some thing was wrong. Anyway it's working now. I'm a happy camper. Mabey this will help someone else out. Cheers.
