97 F150 with 4.6L engine........where do I find brackets for adding alternators.......I now have powerline 25 model alts,and/ or leece nevilles.....but, would gladly add stock type alts if necessary.
I can easily get them at 200 amp output........I replaced the original 135 with a 200 already........just need a seperate dedicated circuit for my amps (cb)........
Any ideas?.........any one here done this already?.... please tell me how you did it............thanks all........
Sure glad I found this place.....My Cheby friends are driving me crazy........LOL...............;<)
I don't know of an extra bracket made, but having one fabbed would not be too hard. Do you have any space in mind? My guess from memory would be either on the bottom left, or straight out to the left.
I might be thinking ahead, but the only problem I see (besides mounting it ) would be adding a pulley so you could run that alt off a secondary belt. Unless you could get it close in to the rest of the setup, I would not try to tie it in on your main cirpentine belt.
Thanks........I am now using the powerline on a Chrysler 3.3L engine......in line with the 6 groove belt.........
It has worked fine so far.......but I have now bought this Ford and want to switch things over...??
If I can get a belt the right length, I have no problems with it being in line with the oem belt..........
......and also another pulley can be added to the harmonic balancer for an added belt system........
I was just wondering who out there has added/ fabricated a bracket for any alt addition.........and where did they put theirs.......
I guess I need a starting point............
