2000 F250 Mirror upgrade

i'm looking to upgrade my mirrors. A friend told me to get the 08+ mirrors but I can't find anywhere online that says they will work. I'm hopefully going to be purchasing on Amazon but not sure which ones to get. When I pull up the 08+ they say "Fits Ford 2008-2015 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 F250 F350 F450 F550 Super Duty"

Ive got the 2000 F250 V10

help

1A Auto will sell you a kit that has the correct adapters to make later model mirrors fit earlier wiring harness.
This guy will probably know

Does anyone make a switch with a timer, for the heated mirrors, that will fit in a Carling Contura switch panel?

I used a lighted rocker switch. This way it's only on when I want it on. The light reminds me to shut it off.

That is what I'm using but I would rather have a defroster switch that fits my Carling panel. I have some defroster switches from the junk yard but none of them fit my panel and I want some uniformity.

You want a "defroster" switch because of it being timed? If that isn't the most important thing, can't you order a new switch with whatever you want on it?

I want it timed and I want it to fit in a panel of my choice, rather than having another size and shaped odd hole in my dash.

AFAIK most defroster switches just send a signal to a timer relay via a momentary on contact, just get a switch that fits & a relay.

I can't find a relay that has a timer, that will shut off, after ten minutes.
