I am trying to get my 1990 Ford E250 6 cyl started. I think I have determined that the fuel pump is not working (it isn't making any noise when I turn the key to start the engine. The handbook says that the fuse for the electronic fuel pump is located on the starter relay. The mechanic at the ford place says that there are possible 3 relays that can effect the fuel pump. Does anyone know where I might find these relays, fuses etc..? Or, is there another way to trouble shoot this problem?
The fuel pump fuse is located in the fuse panel under the dash , The fuel pump relay is located on the left side of the engine bay next to the air filter housing , you will see a long black plastic housing , the EEC & Fuel Pump relays are located in it . Also the Inertia switch will keep the fuel pump from running if its been tripped .
my 93 E250 econoline engine doesn't work now, I checked it and found maybe fuel pump shut-off switch problem. When I bought this van there was no manul inside. Any body can tell me where is the fuel pump shut-off switch located. It would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much.
I have a '90 F250 4.9. Call ford and see if they did not have a recall on the solenoid switches at the gas tanks. Mine did. These can cause a mulitude of problems if they go bad, also the tank switch if you have duel tanks.
