Not a site vendor but the ones I got at Napa were made in the USA And have functioned as expected for a few years now.

I wish they offered longer ones so the door would lift higher. I keep hitting my forehead on it! Maybe I just need to hurry and get my leafs installed.

probably posted already above, but this is what i went with on mine (mine is a 4x4)

Strong Arm 6421 Gas Charged Trunk Lift Support | Audi

so far no issues with mine.

I didn't write this, i copied this from this thread. good read btw (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...upports.html):

The extended length of the 4x4 lift support is 14".
The extended length of the 4x2 lift support is 14.72".
The extended length of these aftermarket ones are 15.87"!

The liftgate will support all the way up to 16.5" before hitting the roof of the vehicle. Someone 5'4" can reach the pulldown handle all the way to 16.25". The only thing to watch out for is the liftgate hitting the roof of your garage if the ceilings are low.

Just installed the PM2019 extended lift supports. Nice. $29.00 with free shipping from lift support depot eBay store.
My post from June 2014, lift supports still going strong.
