WHISTLE SOUNDS
I've got a 94 F-150 w/ 302 V8. Everytime I start it I let the engine run for awhile and let the idle come down. While doing that I've noticed that there is a very loud whistling sound coming from under the hood. I know it's coming from the motor somewhere but I can't tell where. Does anybody know what could cause this. And the other thing is yesterday the driver's side vent wouldn't blow any air, but now it does...any ideas??

yah mater a fact i had that same problem today while doing some fuel injection work, its the PCV valve on the passangers side, when its not in place it whistles because it is sucking in air from the outside insted of from the valve cover, the PCV valve comes out of the valve cover and then goes into air intake on the back side, it is crucial the the emissions equipment. it keeps a constant vacuem in the block, and closes when it sences back presure, the vacuem is also esencial he the proper opperation of the engine
