Thermostat question

I live in MN and bought a bought a 2011 F150 with 5.0 that was originally from California. I've heard from several people to change my thermostat because in southern states cooler thermostat are used. I had the antifreeze tested and it came back good down to 0 degrees so that is getting flushed.

Pat

oh i tried the search and couldn't find an answer.

I honestly don't know about using different thermostats for weather temperature. But if that coolant was only good to zero degrees, you doing a flush and fill probably isn't a bad idea for living in MN.
Back in Missouri, I made sure the coolant in our cars was good to at least -30.
Yes with wind chill, it could get that cold in the mid west.
