True...

I will probably end up waiting until a good looking set of aftermarkets are available... I "was" waiting for something that looked good, worked better for my 2015, but finally gave up...

Hoping the stock will plug into ballast and that into the assembly. Won't know until my truck arrives...
Please let us know what you find out. I asked this same question a while back and i cant remember what exactly the reasoning was, but i do remember people saying that the aftermarket harness was required. These lights are only 1080 add on when you order or build the truck, but they are $2300, if you were to buy them outright. i guess thats because their taking into account that your not paying for the regular lights when ordering, so you sort of get credit for them. Maybe the dealer will give you a deal on the leds if you trade in your take off lights. They'll just throw them in their parts inventory to sell later.

At $2k, dont get why one would not get the Ultimate package and get the cameras, etc. Seems absurd.

I bought a Platinum and didnt even realize they offered 2 different sets of headlights, I guess I have never seen the non LED version. Does someone have a pic?

When ordering a Lariat and clicking the button to add these headlights, it boosts you up to the Ultimate pkg I think.. That adds $5k to the sticker and that's outrageous...

Two very large reasons. I do not want a crew cab and I do not want a glass roof....enough said?

and then you have to add the led option $1080 on top of that. the ultimate pkg doesnt come with leds, it just gives you the option to add them. At least on the f150, you are able to get leds on a standard lariat without having to pay for other stuff you dont need or want.

I agree. I too want a scab, so in order to get the leds, id have to add another $2300 for the super crew add on, then another $5000 - $6000 the ultimate pkg. along with the glass roof that i dont want also. So i would be looking at an extra 9 grand if i wanted the leds.

Yes, also price varies. I found them at a local dealer (highest volume in area) for $800 and $100 for Ballast. My city dealer wanted full price and dealer the town over wanted $1000. So, use a high volume dealer and should get a better price. Also parts department said that it may require a flash to adjust voltage to lights (but I was assuming the ballast/driver did that). Anyway, when using the site use different dealers and yiu will probably get different prices.

The vast majority of these trucks will be equipped with halogen lights. They still look nice and work better than previous versions.

Lariat requires Ultimate package and Blind Spot monitor just to be eligible for LED package.
