I'm sure a lot of past posts about this but what are others using for fuel supply on the FItech EFI? The fuel command gizmo is back ordered till december. Any alternatives as far as fuel pump and return line? I have no problem routing a return line but not sure of the easiest way to run through the tank.
I went through this issue a while back. What I did was use the stock fuel lines and pickup tube as the return and then had to add a some AN fittings and hose in conjunction with Holly's HydroMat as a new pickup. Don't try to use the stock lines and pickup tube as your supply line, it will not work and youll have to redo it any ways. Check out my thread for pictures of how I did mine. Heads up, the fuel supply issue is the hardest part of adding the FiTech, the rest is fairly easy. Youll be happy when its done, mine starts right up and runs as good as my new vehicles. It starts so fast that it takes just a bump of the key, and in the beginning I was grinding the starter a little. I added remote start to mike too, works every time with FI.
I ran 3/8 fuel and return lines and used the FiTech inline pump. I also added an in-tank pusher pump to help get the fuel out of the tank (not sure it was needed though).
I wish my system was running as good as Heliguy's. I am working through a problematic cold start / warm-up issue. It would barely start and once it did, it would chug along at 350 RPMs and slowly raise up as it warmed up, all the while burning extremely rich.
This summer it has started up pretty well, but still a bit rich.
It is starting to cool off, so we'll see how it does in a month or so.
Even with the issues, I am still pretty happy. I am sure most of the issues are user error, but FiTech has not been able to come up with any real "solutions" yet, nor tell me what I did wrong. One of their tech's mentioned hooking up some sort of a solenoid valve to allow a vac port to pull more air in than what the IAC will allow. Honestly, that sounds like a Band-Aid fix. Everyone else seems to be having a stellar experience. This seems to be par for my course...

He's local (in CT) and its a vague way of cheering him on and showing my sheer jealously while subscribing with the proper amount of characters. I am excited for this and hope to learn from the swap.

Thanks for the clarification... sometimes the web isn't clear in translating intent or sarcasm ya know? I suppose that's why emoticons and emojis were invented.
By the end of the month I hope to be in possession of the FiTECH, fuel system and hooking it up.
Between hivoltage ak and the other people who did the swap we should have a good list of how to do it a few ways. What works and what might work better. Sorry for hijacking I'm excited to order it shortly.
