Welcome to "The Forum". Hang on, I'm sure one of the CA members can help. Can you post any pictures of your truck, with any history of how it wound up down under?

As far as I understand getting Used parts in Australia is difficult. Tough Customs laws there I believe. You might call Eagle Auto Parts for help.
Dandenong store...3-9706-9580.
Sydney store.........2-9771-5566.

Or if anyone can help me find a truck wrecker in the USA who is parting out a Ranger with a styleside bumper. Our Aussie trucks only had step bumpers.

If you ask for the bumper just for a Ranger, that might be exactly what you get...from a 1983 and later mid-sized Ranger!

Most junkyards today are owned/staffed by young un's who haven't a single clue about older trucks.

So, you need to ask for this Styleside bumper specifically for what it was installed on. See applications in post #3 that include:

1964/66 F100/250 2WD Standard & Custom Cabs / 1965/66 F100/250 2WD Rangers / 1966 F100 4WD Standard & Custom Cabs.

1967/69 F100/250 2WD/4WD Standard & Custom Cabs & Rangers / 1970/72 F100/350 Custom/Sport Custom/Ranger/Ranger XLT

1973/79 F100/350 Custom/Ranger/Ranger XLT / 1978/79 F100/350 Lariat.

And, be aware that there were TWO different 1973/79 Styleside rear bumpers.

The correct bumper was used on 1973/77 F250 4WD's and 1973/79 F350 Regular Cabs on the 140" wheelbase that have 33 1/2" width between the inner frame rails behind the cab.

The original dealer step bumper on my '69 was lying in the bed of the truck when I bought it. It was bent up beyond repair.

I bought a new (painted) contour bumper, brackets and license plate lights through NPD (National Parts Depot).

NPD has the chrome versions of the contour bumper as well for the '67-'72 models.

I was trying to find a good used item rather than a new one, the Australian dollar and shipping costs make a new one very expensive.

Have you experienced getting Used parts through Australian Customs?
I called a local Junk Yard here that specializes in older stuff. He said everybody is looking for that bumper. I wish you luck Buddy.

The only chance of finding a used contour rear bumper here in LA LA Land, is to hit all the pick-a-part yards. Who can do that? Not I.

Several years ago, the San Berdo yard had a 1973/75 F250 4WD Styleside with a MASSIVE step type front bumper that had a winch on it, and a perfect painted contour rear bumper.

Sadly, it's been scrapped.

I called a pal who owns the oldest truck dismantlers yard in CA .. He just laughed when I asked him for this bumper.
