We got home long before the lights went out, took a trip to Dryden this afternoon had a cup of coffee, filled the fuel cell and drove back home so didn't apply any varnish today..

Tomorrow will be the fourth coat, it's recommended 3 minimum, some guys put as many as 6 coats. If I go with more than 4 I'll have to open another can..what do you think..?

Do six coats, it'll be in the rain and sun.

It may take longer to dry and cure the more coats that you have.

I was wondering how long it would take to cure but it won't be on the road until sometime next summer and not likely see anything in the back of the box until then..

Take them in the house for the Winter and you should be alright. Curing time should be listed on the can.

It says to allow 24 hours before normal use , the boards will be in a heated shop all winter that doesn't get colder than 50°..

Probably take a good month to cure with that many coats.

My plan is to install them in the bed as soon as the box is put on the frame..
