I don't see any recent threads on the topic, so I'll ask.
Has anyone played with the iPhone apps to ready OBD2 codes?
specifically, I want to monitor cylinder misfires. With my ScanGauge2, I would have to program in an X-gauge. Now that I've found my ScanGauge is malfunctioning (different thread) I need to find an alternative method.
I've researched a little and found DashCommand with all of the Ford codes, but the app purchase doesn't include them unless you buy the $100 add on.
I'd prefer to have a less expensive, but programmable version that I can input the codes in for myself.... At least to save the $100.....

Thanks.
And I don't think that one had great reviews. Take a look at Forscan to see if it does what you need. And then there is the more expensive DashBoss, it is complete but is also $170 or so. Remember you will have to buy an IOS/iphone compatible WiFi ODBII adapter for Forscan to work...
ForScan is a $5.00 iPhone/iPad app. That is great on gauges and DTC. Need an ELM adaptor $25.00 - $30.00 from Amazon. Gauge reading is a little small. I also have a DashBoss that is excellent for reading gauges. I can tell at a glance what my readings are going down the road. It's not any good for DTC. I also have a ScanGauge 11 that I don't use much anymore since I got ForScan. My vote ForScan.
