scanner to read pending codes?
ah, never mind, I see it now, there's already another thread like this.
Disregard!
[edit]
There's an ongoing discussion in a different thread that asked this but I thought we might get more input if it had it's own.
ScanGauge II will not read 'pending' codes. It has a XGauge called DTC that will tell you IF there are any how many, but not WHAT the codes are.
So we're trying to figure out if any of the other popular gauge devices (Insight comes to mind) can tell you what your pending codes are.
We have been checking the parts stores and so far we have not had luck finding a scanner that finds pending codes. Some of us have a count above zero on the XGauge DTC gauge but the AutoZone and O'Reilly scanners still say "no codes".
Other than the dealership of course, where do you get this read? I assume the AutoEnginuity could do it, and someday I would like to have one, but that's a bit over budget for this project. Just trying to find out how to get the code read cheaply.
Riffraff Diesel: AutoEnginuity Total Ford Enhanced Bundle
$360 is allot of money, but if you spin wrenches on as many Fords as I do...it will pay for it's self within 6 months. As long as you get the Ford Enhanced Bundle, the AE will show you everything there is to know about the truck/SUV that your working on.
