tuffyproducts.com has a stainless steel version that bolts into the side of the tailgate for my 2011, it's universal to lots of models so I would imagine it would work for these trucks or they will have one soon that does. I'm just not sure about the aluminum, I am confused about whether or not I can bolt or clamp to the aluminum with steel/metal without issues.

They also have some cool locking storage options for the guys that were talking about the console vault.
Nothing is listed for the 2017 yet but you can search the 2016 products and get an idea of what will be available.

Very doubtful. The bed is a slightly different size.

Not to mention, the upper trim levels have an electric release and no handle.

Ford sells a trail gate lock that wraps around the pivot point in the hinge area. I have an alarm, the electric lock and now the lower gate lock. Not much else one can do.... it they want it bad enough, they will get it. Just don't make it too EZ.

I did on post #17. Same thing house mouse is talking about. Tuffyproducts.com has a stainless steel one for the 2011-2016's that should work for the 2017, I doubt anything changed as far as where and how the tailgate mounts. All it would take is a call to them to confirm. It's $25 and I'll buy it when I get my new one delivered.

Id put anti corrosion compound between the lock and tailgate to prevent dissimilar metal corrosion.

Here is the Ford product for the 2017 and it's made from Stainless Steel and Poly.... Which part is made from what is a good guess.

We have a crane bolted to the bed on our f150 for my wifes scooter that will need to be moved over to the new truck, I will give them a copy of that Bulletin, but will probably end up removing the bolts and seeing if they did it right anyways. Being an acircraft mechanic I am used to preventing corrosion.
