Tailgate Bumpers?

Sorry if this has already been asked about, couldn't find it mentioned in a search of the 2017 super-duty section.
Anyone know if these "bumpers" are just for shipment of the truck? One of mine fell off yesterday and the other just pulls out with ease. I'm sure the guys that did the bed liner pulled them off before they sprayed. Maybe they damaged the crappy little plastic fasteners. Tailgate seems fine without them when I close it...

Thanks,

They should remain in the bed. That will stop the tail gate from hitting the bed going forward and from the side

These are a joke! I'm going to thread a small screw/bolt to secure. These small plastic push pins are showing up in more and more locations on our trucks.

Thanks for the reply's!
I think I'll do like Jfox860 says & use a small screw or bolt & washer to secure them. Ford definitely should have come up with a better fastener than the pathetic "one time use" plastic push pin.

Throw them away. They are not meant to say beyond delivery. Kind of like the tags on you mattress.

The last three trucks I had they were in place. The last three trucks I had at work also had them. So I think if want ment to be discarded how can the dealers miss it on 6 trucks. Also all the other trucks at work had them in place. They were always attached very solid also.

Mine are still in place but come off easily... Not sure if there supposed to stay or not but I think I'll stick them back on with some weather strip adhesive to make them stay just incase. Lol

Same here. Once mine were removed for the bed liner, they just fell back out. I've just left them out so far.

They aren't meant to stay fellas. Are they rubber or blow mold plastic? The old ones were rubber and screwed in. The were also much less obtrusive. How can something that sticks out that far and is secured that weakly be supposed to last/stay?

I wonder if they were removed would Fiat still have a viable commercial of parking the truck with one wheel off the ground and the tailgate getting jammed?
