Air box

Has anyone figured out a easy way of removing and installing the cover when changing the filter.

What do you do with the MAF sensor. I had to tape mine because the Ford service personal have damaged the plug beyond repair and I think it has to he removed to get the cover off.

The way mines strapped down it has to be removed to get the cover off, there isn't enough slack in the wire.

I un-clipped my MAF every time for the same reason. Other than that, the change was conventional.
On a side note, the new 2017 6.2 has the filter on the passenger side and it is a different housing:

My initial thought was Ford found that it was more quiet? Maybe that whistle folks would get(I did) will no longer be heard?

After thinking about this overnight I came up a fix. First the plug was damaged because the wire was tied down so short that it gets pulled on trying to remove and installing the cover so I moved the clip down the wire, I also used some Vaseline on the hose like Chuck suggested an now it's easy to remove.
