Have you looked into ForScan? It is free and does most of what AE can do, the only thing you will need to buy (I am assuming you have a laptop to run AE?) would be a OBD II to USB adapter?
The full program is windows based, I use an iPhone, and there is an app for values but not any of the tests, not sure about androids. If you join the ForScan forum (free) they unlock even more features in the software
I have two laptops. The new one is currently kicking and screaming I can't get it to turn on. And the other is 12 years old, it's slow but still works. I run all apple stuff so no old android anything. Would look into purchasing some kind of cheap tablet to run it if it works well.

If you are thinking about Android tablets, my "must have features"
1. At least 1GB RAM
2. SDCard slot for extra storage
3. WIFI
4. Bluetooth
5. At least version 5.0
6. GPS (It's in the truck, may as well use the GPS programs)
7. Higher resolution is better
8. Decent camera. If in the truck, should be able to take pics/vids
9. Able to charge via USB cable (use with STANDARD 12v USB adapter)
10. Decent battery. Can use it while charging phones instead.
11. Size? 7-10.x is personal preference
I haven't bought one in a while, maybe someone with a recent purchase can recommend one?
Sorry about that. I will try again. Photobucket is being a pain in my butt currently. So are there any of the sensors, ICP, IPR, etc. that would be could be causing the issue? I have to see if I can get the A/E up and running to get some data.

Don't sweat it, you didn't create the site Most people have no idea how many "things" are sucking your info when you're on some sites.
Back to your truck...
You can either start replacing sensors, or start testing. In order to start testing, you MUST have steady, clean fuel that is clear of air. Otherwise you'll likely see sensors show the symptoms of air and bad fuel pressure.
We really need to get that part cleared up, the part that is blurring and distorting the picture.
I know it's work, but you can always choose to pay someone else to do it, or risk replacing sensors that aren't broken and maybe chasing a "problem" that is merely a symptom.
At least that is my take on it. I'd hate to see you spend money on something unnecessarily and still have the original problem
The Hutch mod is pretty cheap and "needs" to be done anyways.
Oh yeah...I was stubborn about some of the suggestions given to me early on in my Excursion ownership, looking for the easier way of swapping a few parts, but alas...the methods are tried and true. Almost like magic, coming from the sages on this site ( not me, I'm copying what they do- imitate success and all that jazz )
BTW, not calling YOU stubborn, sharing my own experience that may help you
Fuel injectors NEED fuel and oil pressure. Then a little spark to fire. That's it. Clean up the fuel as we've mentioned, keep the oil clean and keep an eye on things.
Horrors! Wash both your typing fingers with soap this instant!
Video did not load for me either. Too bad it's not the same technology as the ads, cuz they sure worked great.
I don't want throw parts at it either. I just am so busy I don't have time for this. And I can't afford to be without the truck. I just want it to be something simple so I can get back on the road!!!!!!

Well said
You can go the parts route and tell yourself that since these are highly suspect after high mileage, it won't hurt to do them...and you'd be mostly right, too
Time...I hear you. We have a teenager in the family who is in surgery tonight, so trying to stay up and by the phone, else I'd be in bed getting ready for another busy day tomorrow.
I looked at your location. I don't think the 7hrs each way would save you much time, even if we did whip the Hutch in record time
So maybe you can get one of the programs going and log some data? If you use AE or Torque, I can graph it for you pretty quickly. Haven't done any Forscan graphs, but it might have something inbuilt?
Then the gurus here can take a look and make an educated guess?
It sure is faster and easier to swap a sensor and its connection than drop a tank and replace the lines.
Sometimes you gotta test what you can, narrow the possibilities, and swing for the fence
Whatever you choose, there are a bunch of us in your corner who want to see you get it fixed and will help however we can
Alright. I will see if I can get my computer fired up today and see if I can log some stuff. Have at take a trip that is long enough to get her warmed up good. Also going to order the Racor filter and get that coming. Maybe I can drop the tank next week and get that stuff fixed at least.
